What is an 'eating disorder' then?

There are so many people who suffer in one way or another with 'disordered eating' and clinics across the world treat people with all sorts of issues surrounding weight, body image or obsessions with food.

All eating disorders are dangerous, destructive and can lead from one to another.

Society's obsessions with 'dieting' and body image and the rise in obesity are at different end of the spectrum, but all fit under the umbrella of disordered eating. NEDA states in one of its many resources, that while some disordered behaviours "may not be clinically considered a full syndrome eating disorder, they can still be physically dangerous and emotionally draining."

I couldn't agree more.
