I just took a positive home pregnancy test yesterday - we have been trying since early this year, so it shouldn't have come as a surprise, but the idea of it being reality now and not just some hypothetical idea to talk about has still somehow blown my mind! I have a long history of eating disorders, starting with a severe episode of anorexia as a teenager (more than half my life ago now) and getting less well defined but no less distressing and disruptive through my 20s. In my 30s so far I've been doing better than ever at having a relaxed attitude towards food and eating a varied diet (trying to conceive was a good motivator, too), but pregnancy naturally comes with a new set of stresses and worries to manage and I realise it's going to be challenging. But I'm telling myself I'm up to it, and preparing and learning as best as I can. So I was looking for information and stumbled on your blog - I'll keep following your journey and wish you all the best with everything. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
